Wilma Martin Kaylor, 89, a resident of Cleveland, TN, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday afternoon, June 16, 2025, at Bradley Healthcare where she had been a resident for four months. She was born in Cleveland, TN on September 4, 1935. Wilma was a hairdresser at Martin's Hair Fashions for 35 years. She loved to travel and loved going to the beach.
Wilma was a daughter of the late Curtis Goodner Sr. and Edith Goodner. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her grandparents Walter & Mark Jenkins Goodner and Lawrence & Barshie Covet Bishop, her late husband Mack Martin, her sister and brother in law Mary & James Hope, her brothers Henry Franklin Goodner, Ronnie Goodner, Tommy Goodner, Jimmy Bo Goodner, Johnny Goodner, Curtis Goodner Jr and "Junebug" and Bennie Goodner and her brother in law Willie DeFriece.
Wilma leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Clyde Kaylor, her sister and caregiver Ruby DeFriece, her stepchildren Shon Kaylor, Loril Kaylor and Angie Kaylor, several grandchildren and many very special nieces and nephews along with caregivers Lois Ann Shaham, Margaret Long and Chanda Herron.
The family would like to thank Bradley Healthcare and the wonderful Hospice team for the wonderful care they gave to their loved one and the many people that prayed for Wilma and will continue to pray for our family during this time.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, June 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the original chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Rd in Cleveland, TN. A service celebrating her life will follow the visitation time on Sunday evening at 7:00 PM officiated by the Reverend Guinn Green and the Reverend Daniel White.
The interment and committal service will take place on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
