Wilma Jean Taylor passed away January 11, 2026 at the age of 89. She was born in Verbena, Alabama on December 10, 1936 to the late Wilson Maddox and Edna Eylene Scott.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Edward Taylor; her parents and her step-father, Robert Edward Clark
She is survived by her children, Walter Blaine Taylor and Roger Allen Taylor; grandchildren, Wendy Marie (Kelly) Brown, Lori Jean (Rodney) McVay, Derek Jason Taylor, Brooke Amber (Tyler) Lee and Meagan Alana Taylor and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, January 19, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home in Selma. She will be laid to rest at a private service at Pineview Memory Gardens.
