Wilma Wobbema, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and talented artist, peacefully passed on Monday, June 5, 2023 at the age of 73, at her home in
Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 9, 1949, in
Fort Wayne, Indiana, Wilma was the cherished daughter of Donelda and Arthur Karst.
Wilma is survived by her adoring children, Angela (Robert) Ritchie, Ezra Miller, Jerome Hamilton, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She was a source of unwavering love and support for her children, always there to lend a listening ear and offer guidance. Although she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on through her surviving siblings, Rose, Jerry, Robert, and Arthur Jr.
Wilma's life was enriched by the joy of family, and she was blessed with twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Their presence brought immense happiness and fulfillment to her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Wilma's love for her family knew no bounds, and her memory will continue to be treasured by each generation.
A woman of many talents, Wilma had a passion for arts and crafts. She found solace and expressed her creativity through various mediums, including painting and crocheting. Her works of art were a reflection of her vibrant spirit and brought beauty into the lives of those who had the pleasure of witnessing them.
Wilma had a deep affection for her feline companions, who provided her with companionship and comfort throughout the years. She adored their playful antics and the unconditional love they offered.
