Wilma Woodson, age 86, died in Aurora, Colorado on December 3, 2025. Wilma greatly valued education and earned multiple degrees over her lifetime: A B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from Wichita State University, a M.A. in Sociology and Mathematical Models from the University of Hawaii, and a M.S. in Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco. She started her professional career as an illustrator for Boeing in Kansas in the 1960s, eventually making her way to Silicon Valley California where she worked for many years as a Technical Writer for tech companies such as Tandem Computers and Dell. In the 1980s, she relocated permanently to Denver, Colorado to be near the Rocky Mountains. Wilma loved to sew, designing and creating many useful items such as denim grocery totes and handmade fabric masks that she distributed free of charge during the COVID pandemic. Wilma attended Bridgeway Church in Denver. She is survived by her adopted son, Edward Stone, and adopted daughter, Rebecca Woodson, and twelve grandchildren. Wilma is also survived by her sister Charlene Burge and brother Bill Woodson. In lieu of services, Wilma’s family has asked her valued friend, Mr. Mike Pentel, to scatter her ashes at the foot of the Rocky Mountains that Wilma so loved. May she rest in peace.
