Wilma Zweifel

Wilma Zweifel, 94, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026, at her home.

Wilma was born January 20, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio to Murland and Lelia Archambo. She loved being outside and always insisted on sitting in the sun. Her favorite summer pastime was mowing her 4-acre lawn. Anyone driving by her home in the summer was sure to see her out on her mower or working in her yard. She enjoyed doing crafts and she was a collector of many things including chickens, birdhouses, and teacups to name a few. She loved spending time with family and friends watching her grandson race; and she rarely missed a Saturday night at the racetrack.

Wilma was an amazing woman and spent her life in love with her family. Her biggest passion in the last few years were her great grandchildren who visited her often and always put a smile on her face. She enjoyed playing Euchre and visiting with her many friends at Sylvania Moose Lodge.

Wilma is survived by her three children, Kathleen Barta, Holly (Chuck) Noonan, Dan Zweifel; her grandchildren, Alisha (Mark) Luvass, Chris Beebe, Jackie (Glen) Maiden, Casey (Amber) Noonan, Dan (Amy) Zweifel, Sam (Holly) Zweifel, Kylie Zweifel, Chloe Zweifel; and 19 great-grandchildren all of whom will miss her feisty spirit and generous heart. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Marcine Bloom; and brother, Walter Wilson.

Wilma will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, her humor, and the unwavering love she gave so freely. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished. She is at peace with her husband Howard and her Granddaughter Dana Royse and they have her in their arms in heaven.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, Thursday, January 15 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, January 16, at 11:00 a.m. at Reeb Funeral Home with burial services at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania, Ohio.
