Windell Stone Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ponder Funeral Home - Sikeston on Jan. 6, 2026.
Windell Phillip Stone Jr., age 65, of Sikeston, Missouri, passed away on January 4, 2026, at his home.

He was born on November 7, 1960, in Jackson, Tennessee, to Windell Phillip Stone Sr. and Betty Taylor.

Windell was a true craftsman who enjoyed working with his hands. He had a natural talent for working on cars and loved improving homes. He could roof, hang drywall, mud and tape walls, and was especially skilled at painting. He also enjoyed making decorations with rawhide and had a remarkable ability to turn ordinary or discarded items into something beautiful. In his younger years, Windell worked for Carol Florist, where he arranged floral displays and delivered flowers, a role that reflected both his creativity and care for others.

In addition to his mother, Betty Taylor, he is survived by one brother, Tommy Stone; one sister, Bonnie (Greg) Foote; nieces and nephews Amy Reynolds, Gregory (Kelle) Foote, Christopher (Sidnea) Stone, Morgan Stone, Jason Pearson, Jeremy Pearson, Crystal Pearson and Taylor Reynolds; along with a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, Windell Phillip Stone Sr.; one sister, Donna Denise Stone; and one niece, Hannah Reynolds.
