Winfred Jordan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Freeman Mortuary - Jefferson City on Dec. 17, 2025.
Winfred Nathaniel Jordan, age 63, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away, Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at his home.
He was born on September 21, 1962, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Alexander and Mabel Jordan. He was married on September 17, 2004, in St. Louis, Mo., to Louise Jordan.
Winfred attended Soldan High School and O'Fallon Technical High School where he studied machine shop and graduated from both in 1980. He began his career at McDonnell Douglas as a machinist and worked there for many years.
Winfred was a devoted sports fanatic whose passion for the game could light up any room. He especially loved cheering on the Cardinals and, most of all, his beloved 49ers. Whether watching from home or surrounded by friends and family, he never missed a chance to support his teams. He found great joy in traveling, especially when it meant visiting family in Chicago and Memphis. Those trips were filled with laughter, stories, and moments he carried close to his heart. His faith was a guiding force in his life, and he held firmly to his belief in his Savior.
Above all, Winfred cherished time with his family. He was adventurous, loving, and always ready to lend a hand whenever he was needed. As a husband, brother, and dedicated family man, he would do anything for the people he loved. His presence brought comfort, strength, and warmth to those around him.
Winfred's memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. His love, his spirit, and his kindness will be deeply missed but forever remembered. May he rest in peace.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Jordan; children, Dominic Jordan, Winfred Alexander Jordan, and Michael Jordan; siblings, Alexandria Jordan Walker, Valerie Jordan Meeks, Christopher Jordan and Cory Jordan; nieces and nephews, Twana, Lashanda, Jilanda, Qui'Lencia, Quentin, Ajani, and Mariah; special friend, Jeanne Gifford; and numerous family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, Winfred Nathaniel Jordan Jr.; parents, Alexander and Mabel Jordan; and siblings, Mabel Jordan and Doris Smith.
The family of Winfred extends their deepest appreciation to all who were part of his life. Your support, friendship, and care brought him joy and meaning.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7
