Winifred Jane Brooks Johnson

Winifred Jane Brooks Johnson, age 77, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Life Care Center of Columbia.
Born on June 7, 1946, in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, Winifred, was the daughter of the late Albert Brooks and the late Nellie Virginia McDonough Brooks. She found joy in simple pleasures, particularly in the art of knitting and crocheting, with a special fondness for crafting dishcloths. A testament to her unyielding spirit, she raised her family as a strong and independent woman. Her devotion to her children and grandchildren was evident in the unconditional love she showered upon them. She was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by her sons, Harvey S. Johnson, Jr., Wesley (Nikkole) Johnson, sisters, Debbie Hickle-Cross, Sandra (Bob) Voeckler, grandchildren, Kayla Johnson, Nathaniel Dorsey, Tyler Blalock, Aubrey Johnson, and great grandchildren, Jordyn, Nathaniel, Jr., and Oakley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Samuel Johnson, Sr., daughter, Juanita Lynn Johnson, sister, Patty Barber, infant sister, Marion Jean Brooks, and her beloved cat, Bitsy.
There will be no public service at this time. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
