Winnie Mae Munger Eads was born in Houston, Texas on August 31, 1939 to Margaret Glispin

Munger and Edward Haven Munger. Winnie Mae attended Reagan High School in the Houston

Heights where she met the love of her life in the clarinet section of the band. She graduated

from Reagan High School in 1957. Winnie Mae Munger and Paul Eads were married on July

8,1960 at Grace United Methodist Church in the Heights. Winnie Mae and Paul had two sons

Todd and Troy.

Winnie Mae was a member of Houston Heights Assembly No. 10 Order of Rainbows for Girls.

She was a grand representative to Maryland from Texas while in high school. Winnie Mae was

employed at Grocer's Supply and Humble Oil after her graduation from high school. Winnie

Mae was a housewife and devoted mother. She was president of the Sinclair Elementary PTA

and accompanied musical performances at the school. Winnie taught piano lessons from the

time she hired a sitter for her own young children until she was helping to care for her

grandchildren. Winnie Mae and Paul were avid travelers and even lived in Venezuela for a year

when their oldest son was only two years old. Winnie Mae was a member of the Heights Lions

Club where she and Paul mentored young members of the Lions Organization. Winnie Mae

was a lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and used

her talents for needlepoint to create beautiful items to donate for the church Talent Auction.

Winnie Mae was instrumental in starting the handbell choir at Grace United Methodist Church

and was the director for many years.

Winnie Mae and Paul valued spending time with family and prioritized caring for their

grandchildren, helping out when parents had to work outside the home or travel for work. In

later years, they delighted in seeing their great grandchildren as frequently as possible.

Winnie Mae is preceded in death by her husband Paul Eads: her parents Margaret Munger and

Edward Haven Munger: her daughter-in-law Denise Edwards Eads:and her son Todd Allen

Eads. She is survived by her son Troy Eads and wife Angela: daughter-in-law Debbie Eads;

grandchildren Renai Eads Cafferty and husband Ryan; Nicholas Eads; Alec Eads; Cara Sourp;

David Eubank; and great grandchildren Zane Cafferty; Jett Cafferty; Maximus Gonzalez
