Mr. Earl J Sheffield IV, age 56, formerly of Texas, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 at his home in Meridian, Mississippi.
Mr. Earl J Sheffield IV will be laid to rest at 1:15 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Houston National Cemetery, with military honors provided by the United States Navy Funeral Honors Team.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at his sister’s home in Wallisville, Texas
Mr. Sheffield was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, a graduate of Texas A&M University, and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Anahuac, Texas. He was an avid reader who found great joy in books and enjoyed his firearm collection.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 22 years, Angelika Sheffield; his son, U.S. Navy FC3 Henry C. Sheffield, and Henry’s wife, U.S. Navy Seaman Apprentice Harmony Watts Sheffield; his sister, Heather Sheffield Machado, and her husband Shawn, niece Renata Ward of Texas; as well as his nephew, Parker Ward, also of Texas; his brother, U.S. Air Force retired Maj Andrew C. Sheffield, and his wife Brenda of Collinsville, MS.
He is also survived by his nieces Melyssa Sheffield Aldrich and her husband, U.S. Navy CDR Ryan Aldrich; great nieces Olivia, Ella, Meredith, and Valerie Aldrich, all of California; Macie Sheffield and her fiancé, Josh Foster of Meridian, MS.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Earl J Sheffield III, and his mother, Renee Fowler Sheffield of Texas
