The May family Christmas Eve gatherings are what I remember as the few times I got to see Auntie Winnie, Uncle John and young Johnny.
I am grateful I had spoken to Auntie Winnie by phone only a couple years ago after I sent her photos of her father and brother (my father Pippy) at their work in Angus shops. I recall how emotional she was to see those photos.
It was nice to hear her voice again.
Cousin Johnny and family please accept our condolences.

I have many wonderful memories of our Christmas Eve family get togethers at Nanna and Poppa's. Aunty Winnie's big smile and hearty laugh filled the kitchen with love and happiness. Thank you, my wonderful Godmother, for your protection, your guidance, and your beautiful, selfless heart. Dear Johnnie and family, please accept our deepest condolences, love and hugs. Alot of people will say it but Auntie Winnie really was the best!!! I have so many great memories of her and Uncle John and our trips to New Hampshire and Hampton Beach. She was one of the only ones growing up to call me out on my adolescent ways. She´d say: You having a crisis Tam?! Lolll I still hear it today and think of her when yes I´m having a crisis!!! She was kind, caring and always had time to chat to know what the scoop was!!! I loved her dearly. She was the favorite aunt for sure and I will miss her. Say hi to mom and don´t get into too much trouble in the casinos up there you two!! Love you always Tam xx

Auntie Winnie was the best! I remember going to visit her house in New Hampshire as a kid and having the best slumber parties with Twinkies and lots of laughs. She will be missed by myself, my sister Tammy and my dad Rick. May she rest in peace...my sympathies to Johnnie and all his family. Love you guys xxx

Winnie was like a second mother to me and she raised me while my parents were making a living. I spent many wonderful years visitings her and John talking about the old times and going out to eat and shop. I will miss her terribly and she will always be in my thoughts.

Auntie Winnie was such a special person. Whenever she came to visit in Montreal, and stayed with Nana and Grandpa, we used to head over to see her. A few times we would visit her in Plattsburgh, at the airforce base. Once Little Johnny was born, he was always by her side. Auntie Winnie had such a beautiful smile, and when she laughed she would light up the room. Well now the siblings and parents are joined together, probably sharing stories, and catching up. Picking on each other as they used to. Of course I´m sure the first person she will search out is Uncle John, the love of her life. RIP Auntie Winnie! Our condolences to Johnny and the family. Love William (Billy) May and family
