Winsome Scott May 29, 1955 – September 5, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Winsome Patricia Scott on September 5, 2025, at the age of 70, after a courageous battle with stage four lung cancer.

Born on May 29, 1955, in Jamaica, West Indies, Winsome migrated to New Jersey as a young child, where she grew up and spent most of her life. A few years ago, after her diagnosis, she moved to Palm Bay, Florida.

Winsome was known for her kindness, her humor, and her ability to speak her mind with both honesty and love. She had a sharp wit, a contagious laugh, and a heart big enough to embrace everyone she met. She loved to dance, to cook, and to travel-especially on cruises. She brought joy into every room she entered and lived life fully.

She worked for many years at Bob's Furniture, where her coworkers became like family to her. Among them, she shared a particularly close bond with Stacey Ruopoli-Galanaugh who she saw as a daughter.

Winsome is survived by her loving son, Richard, her cherished granddaughter Alisha, and her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She is also survived by her sisters, Enid, Cynthia (Senty), Sheila (Bea), Sharon (Doll) Sandy, Marie and brothers Percy & Steven, who loved her dearly.

She is reunited in heaven with her late mother Agatha (2002), her sister Prudence (2014), her brother Ralston (2009), and her former husband, Rudolph (Fitzie) Scott (2022).

Winsome's warmth, laughter, and honesty touched all who knew her. She will be remembered as a woman who loved deeply, spoke boldly, and lived vibrantly.

Funeral services will be held at Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care - 950 Malabar Rd. SE., Palm Bay, Florida 32907 on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11 a.m., where family and friends will gather to celebrate her remarkable life. Repast to follow.
