Winston Churchwell Ray Jr.

Winston Churchwell Ray, Jr. age 74 of Jacksonville passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 at his niece's home surrounded by family. He was born September 11, 1948 in Nashville, Georgia to the late Mr. Winston and Marjorie (Yirka) Ray, Sr. He worked for many years as a route driver. In his free time, Winston enjoyed watching sports and was an avid NASCAR and Jaguars fan. He also enjoyed playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Darrell Ray, Frances Bracey, and Lavina Foshee; as well as his son: Nathan Ray.
He is survived by his nieces: Beverly (Darwin) Brown of Jacksonville, Leeja (Mario) Eden of Alabama, Karen Powers of Glen St. Mary, and Gayle Watson of North Carolina; nephew: Darrell Ray, Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri; and two grandchildren.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
