Woldemar Dogny Obituary

Woldemar Dogny

Asheville - Woldemar Rudolf Dogny, 79, died January 3, 2021.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia M. Cook; two sons, Trajan W. Dogny (Mastaneh) of Brooklyn, NY and Aidan A. Dogny of Asheville; brother-in-law, Kenneth L. Cook of Alexander, and also leaves behind his long time friend, Dane Killion who was like a brother.

Woldemar was born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, June 30, 1941 during World War II. After immigrating to the US in 1948 and completing school, he was proud of his service in the US Army, 1964-1966. Soon after, he became a Naturalized citizen.

Woldemar worked as an analyst for Akzona in the Nylon Chem Lab and later in monitoring smoke-stack emissions for Champion International.

For many years, Woldemar had a passion for motorcycles. He had a keen intellect and enjoyed learning about the world and beyond. His love of animals brought many smiles to his face.

Most of all in his life, Woldemar was glad of having his two sons, whom he dearly loved, and he knew that they dearly loved him.

Woldemar's service shall be a small private one. Thank you for your calls and blessings.
