Wolfgang Henning Obituary
Memorial Visitation for Wolfgang Robert Henning, 71, of Palatine since 1991, will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 12:00 pm until the time of Family Remembrances at 2:00 p.m., at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. The Interment will be private.
Wolfgang was born September 8, 1953, in Berlin, Germany, and passed away December 21, 2024.
Wolfgang was the beloved husband of Julie A. Henning (nee Mix); loving father of Ashley (Tom) Rooney, Robert Henning and Austin (Chris) Mansfield; loving grandfather of Dougan & Hilde Rooney; dear son of the late Wolfgang and Hilde (nee Witt) Henning.
Wolfgang immigrated to Chicago from West Berlin, Germany during his teens. He became a young business owner and soon after met his lifelong partner and started a family. If Wolfgang wasn’t working, he was spending time with family, listening to music or driving one of his Corvettes. He will be remembered as a doting father and grandfather, a loving husband and a loyal friend.
