Wolfgang was my favorite uncle with a big heart and so much warmth when our families visited each other. He was kind and dedicated to his family and extended family as well. My Dad and he had a special bond; more like brothers than in-laws. I am saddened by his passing but will always remember him with fondness and love

My uncle (Onkel Wolfgang) was a true friend and mentor to me (Martina "Tina") as I was growing up. He and Tante Hedy always took good care of me whenever we would visit (which was often). My mom (Gerda), his sister, was like a surrogate mother to him as he grew up in a very turbulent time. Some fond memories are riding ponies with Andy, styling Heidi's hair when she was a little girl, Bob waking everyone early in the morning when he was 18 months old while we were all trying to sleep; Onkel Wolfgang's golf lesson - he taught me the beginning steps of how to play when I was 12; Tante Hedy's delicious meals and Uncle Fred's amazing 1939 Lincoln K, which we transported to the Dearborn, MI Classic Car Show years ago.
He was and is truly loved by his family. We will always cherish his kind and good spirit. He will remain in our hearts and minds forever. May the Lord bless and keep him now and forever. Amen.

Herzlichst Beileid von Liz und Robert Filippi. Fred was always fun to be around. Our fondest memories were club and car show related. We'll miss him.
