Wylan Adams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home - Ranson on Nov. 14, 2024.
Wylan Winsor Adams, 3, of Charles Town, WV unexpectedly passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024. He was born to parents Nicholas and Isabell Adams on March 26, 2021 in Roseville, California. In addition to his parents, Wylan was survived by his older sister Oakley Adams and younger brother, Silas Adams. He was known to family, friends, and teachers as a silly, smart, loving, busy, and wild boy. He loved to play soccer, swim, stop and watch the garbage truck, excavators, and play on the slides at school and park. Wylan was what we referred to as "All boy, All gas, No brakes."
Wylan attended Wee Disciples Christian Academy, where he made leaps and bounds. He flourished under the care of his teachers, Ms. Tom and Ms. Andy. He made friendships he spoke about nonstop. He would wake each morning eager to get ready to go. He was a typical middle child and he loved his siblings with every fiber of his being. He loved seeing his big sister off to school and picking her up. He waited anxiously for the approval to wake his younger brother up each morning. He would attempt to protect his little brother from any mischief by saying "no no muffin, not safe!" He made everyone laugh and smile. You knew his presence was there, prior to being able to visually see him. He was loud and vibrant.
Wylan loved to watch Paw Patrol and Octonauts. He would laugh hysterically anytime his mother, Isabell would mimic the accent and names from Octonauts. He referred to almost anything as a Octopod. He loved to tease his father, Nicholas, that kisses were gross, just to get his father to chase him and kiss him repeatedly. His laugh was always a deep gut laugh, the one you hear that automatically that would make you laugh.
Each night we picked books to read, he selected his favorite every single time, "In My Heart: A Book of Feelings." Many nights he slept with the book next to him. He loved to have breakfast food for every meal, his plate always had a side of mustard because it was his absolute favorite.
With Wylan's passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Despite us missing him for eternity, he will forever remain apart of us, our hearts, and our family. Wylan's love radiates through our home. It is a privilege to be his parents.
Wylan, our sweet bubba, we miss you more than words can say. We love you without limits and our hearts are shattered as we mourn the loss of you. We hope to be reunited with you one day. Please be our guardian angel and when things are dark, shine your light to remind us that you are with us always. We love you beyond words sweet boy. Thank you for being our son. It is an honor that you called us Mommy and Daddy.
With love,
Daddy, Mommy, Sissy, and Muffin
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at his favorite place, Wee Disciples at a later date.
