Wylie Dewayne Brunson, Sr. (Buddy) 61, of Scurry, TX passed away on January 4, 2025. Wylie was born on November 30, 1963, to Wylie Devon Brunson and Linda Nell Harper in Rockwall, TX. He grew up in the Dallas area. Began working at Schindler Elevators and Escalators March 29th 1982 at the age of 17. Buddy was a hardworking, dedicated, loyal employee who became a top mechanic. On July 13, 1991, Buddy and Carolyn Jo were married. They have been married for a loving 33 years. He would always lend a helping hand and could fix anything. Buddy enjoyed dancing, singing, playing pool and riding his Harley. He loved hanging out with his family and friends. He always loved playing pool with his children, grandchildren, nephews and friends. He could beat anyone with “one eye closed”. Buddy’s most precious moments were spent with his family. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother. His parents, Wylie and Linda, preceded him in death. Those left to cherish his memory are Wife, Carolyn Jo, Sons: Wylie Dewayne Brunson Jr., Billy Thomas Jump, David Ray Jump and Wife Mellany, Daughters: Mandy Lea Bowman, Christy Renee Jump and Husband Robert Eric Bartke, 21 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, Papa Santos J Vidales, Brothers: William (Billy) Brunson and wife Ramica, Riley Brunson, Charles (Chuck) Mayo, Keith Brunson, Johnny Brunson, Sisters: Patricia (Kay) Soto, Linda (DeeDee) Bennet and Husband Douglas, Shelley Brunson; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly forever and ever.
