Wyndell Frank Patterson, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 20,2025 at his home in Clanton, Alabama, at the age of 82. Wyndell was born on February 25, 1943, to Floyd and Leona Patterson who instilled in him that work is one of the best attributes a person can own. Wyndell grew up with 11 brothers and sisters. In 1969 he married Lafaye Lanette Patterson and had two daughters.
Wyndell began his career working on constructing the interstate system. He briefly left the road construction industry to go into business with his brother, Gene (Bud) Patterson, until 1972. Wyndell then went to work for Harrington Construction in Montgomery, Alabama where he learned every aspect of road construction. In 1982, Wyndell started his own business, named Ten-T Corporation, where he continued to do road construction until he retired in 2008. After retirement he enjoyed spending time with friends, tinkering with machinery, and maintaining his property.
Wyndell is survived by his daughters, Crystal (Calvin) Capps of Navarre, Florida and Robin (Bruce) Bradley of Gibsonton, Florida,3 grand children, 2 great grand children, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. He is preceded in death by his former wife, Lafaye Lanette Patterson, his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
A Memorial service will be held on October 25, 2025 at Martin’s Funeral Home in Clanton, Alabama beginning at 11:00. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:00. A graveside service will follow at Thorsby Memory Gardens, in Thorsby, Alabama.
Wyndell will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Southern Care New Beacon Hospice for the care they provided, Martin Funeral Home, as well as John Shearon and Pam Fancher for their unwavering help and support.
Wyndell’s daughters, Crystal and Robin, request in lieu of flowers for donations to be made to Southern Care New Beacon Hospice in memory of Wyndell Frank Patterson.
