Bobby Lane Mims

Bobby Lane Mims, 68, of Verbena, Alabama passed away October 17, 2025, at his residence.

He was born August 5, 1957, in Alabama, son of the late Bobby Mims and the late Sarah Baker Mims.

Bobby was a Truck Driver. He hauled logs and flatbed. He earned the CB handle "Go Fast. He loved to hunt deer, dove, and fish. He loved his family and especially spending time with his three grandchildren. He was raised on a dairy farm and worked in the hayfields with his dad and brothers. He loved the Lord and loved going to church and singing. He was ordained to be a deacon in 2019 and he was very proud to serve the Lord. He had a kind and servants heart. He loved giving people fruits and vegetables and helping in any way he could. He loved to have family and friends to come grill, eat and fellowship/ laughing and enjoying every minute. He has taught and mentored many young men truck drivers on how to fix anything broken on their trucks. He is truly going to be missed by everyone that knew and loved him. Bobby was married to Jeannie for 46 years, where together they built a life of love, joy, faith, and wonderful memories.

Surviving are his Wife, Jeannie Mims; Son, Jeremy (Robin) Mims; Grandchildren, Dallas Mims, Caleb Mims, Alyvia Brook Mims; Sisters, Barbara Neely, Kathy Headley; Brothers, Frankie (Reta) Mims, Tim (Becky) Mims, Keith (Tammy) Mims; A host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Bobby Joe Mims; Mother, Sarah Baker Mims; Brothers, Dennis Mims, Jeff Mims; Sister, Margaret Cleckler.

Friends will be received Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Derek Deavers and Joe Camp officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
