Carolyn Reeves Mims, a cherished resident of Clanton, Alabama, departed this life on October 4, 2025, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Alabama. Born on October 4, 1929, she was the beloved daughter of the late Barnie Earl "B.E." Reeves and Mamie Reeves, who nurtured her with love and kindness. Throughout her life, Carolyn exemplified faith, dedication and grace. Her family and friends will forever remember her unwavering devotion to those she loved. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her son, Steve Mims, and her daughter, Karen Mims. Carolyn was a proud grandmother to Rebecca Mims Cullison, Matthew Mims, and Erin Vansandt, and a delighted great-grandmother to Ella Cullison, Henry Cullison, and Marin Mims. Each of them carries a piece of her heart and memory forward. Carolyn is reunited with her husband, Jesse Charles Mims; her sister, Jean Reeves Smith; her brother, Buddy Reeves; and her daughter-in-law, Alicia Mims, as well as her parents. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather to honor Carolyn’s life on Thursday, October 9, 2025. An opportunity to express condolences will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Clanton, Alabama, followed by a service celebrating her remarkable journey at 3:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton, Alabama.
