Xavier Lampley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Marshall Funeral Home and Cremations on Sep. 11, 2025.
Xavier "Xav" Lampley was born on February 21, 1995, in Gulfport, MS, to Johnny Lampley and Dorothy Lampley. He graduated from the International Relief and Development (IRD) YouthBuild Program in 2016. Xavier was a member of the Full Gospel Holiness Church in Gulfport, MS, under the leadership of Pastor Charles Taylor and First Lady Janice Taylor. He departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest on August 29, 2025.

Xavier was a young man of many talents and held an array of jobs during his short time here on Earth. You could often find him walking wherever he wanted or needed to go. He took pride in walking to his destinations and rarely accepted a ride from anyone, including his mother. He was hardworking and passionate about making his own way in the world. Xavier overcame many obstacles, even when he was told he couldn't. He was strong, determined, and a fighter until the very end.

Xavier loved cooking, rapping, drawing, and spending time with his loved ones – especially his cousins and his girlfriend, Kimora.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Kelly; his paternal grandmother, Vera Lampley; and his paternal great-grandmothers, Margaret Hall and Hattie Bell Huff.

Xavier leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Dorothy Lampley; his father, Johnny (Yvonne) Lampley; and his paternal grandfather, Jessie Lampley; three brothers, Malik Lampley, Kobe J. Lampley, and Lando Kelly; three sisters, Cassanora Lampley, Ciara Kelly, and Yvonne "Ty" Lampley; four nieces, Alyssia Kelly, Makiya Hamilton, Ty'vielle Kelly, and Empress Thurmond; and two nephews, Brandon Fuhs and Mason Taylor; a special uncle, Jesvonta Walker; one stepsister, Marissa Walker; two stepbrothers, Maurice Walker and Marcus Walker; and his coworker and friend (Our Hero), Rashad Bennett; and a host of cousins, friends, and coworkers.
