Xavier Jermaine Scott, affectionately known as "Xay Xay," was born on March 4, 2004, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He passed away tragically on November 12, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri, while selflessly helping a friend. His untimely departure left a profound impact on all those who knew him.
Xavier grew up in Ardmore and attended Ardmore city schools. From a young age, he exhibited a passion for music that would become a cornerstone of his identity. Music was not only a source of joy for him but also a way he connected with others; he loved rapping and creating melodies that expressed his vibrant personality. Alongside his musical pursuits, Xavier dedicated himself to working with youth, sharing his talents and uplifting those around him. He was a beacon of positivity, always outgoing and the life of every gathering, where his infectious energy brought smiles and laughter to family and friends.
Family was of utmost importance to Xavier, particularly his two beloved sons, Z'Khaii Scott and Zavion Scott. He took great pride in being their father, cherishing every moment spent with them and instilling in them the values he held dear. He was a devoted member of the Greater St. Paul Church in Milo, Oklahoma, where he formed lasting relationships within the community.
Xavier was known for his outspoken nature; he was the kind of person who spoke his mind, ensuring that his thoughts and feelings were always clear. His love for family and friends shone brightly through his actions. Whether it was cooking delicious meals or simply spending time with loved ones, he always sought to help those in need, reflecting his big heart and compassionate spirit.
He leaves behind a loving family that includes his mother, Lindsey Scott, of Joplin, Missouri; his father, Andre Jermaine Scott, of Ardmore; his sister, India Scott, and her boyfriend, Sterling Jason, of Springfield, Missouri; his two sons, Z'Khaii Scott of Milo, Oklahoma, and Zavion Scott of Springfield, Missouri; his grandparents, Debra & Jimmy Scott Sr. of Milo, Oklahoma, and Theresa McAlister of Springfield, Missouri; his great-grandmother, Claudette Anderson, of Springer, Oklahoma; his great uncle, Steve & Brenda Anderson, of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; his uncle, Jimmy Scott Jr., of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and his aunt, Skyler McAlister, of Nashville, Tennessee.
Xavier is preceded in death by his sister, Suhara Scott; his grandfathers, Walter McAlister and Michael Bridges; his great-grandfather, Theodore Anderson; and his great-grandparents, Esterine & Zeno Scott.
A visitation will be held at Kirk Funeral Home in Ardmore, Oklahoma, on November 23, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a visitation with family from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A celebration of Xavier's life will take place at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church in Springer, Oklahoma, on November 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
Xavier’s life, marked by his unwavering commitment to helping others and his passionate embrace of music, will be remembered with fondness and love by all who had the privilege to know him. His legacy of kindness and laughter will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family and friends.
