Mr. Xkyayk Smith, affectionately called XK, was born on May 29, 1974, to Mr. Clinton Smith and Barbara Cook. He was educated in the Gadsden City School System, graduating from Emma Sansom High School, class of 1992.
He loved working, detailing cars in particular. He played football at Emma Sansom while in school and was an Alabama fan. He loved being around people, his personality drawing many people in. He was just as unique as his name, which fit him perfectly and made a statement all by itself.
He was preceded in death by his father Clinton Smith; stepfather Byron Cook; and brother David Mostella.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his mother Barbara Cook; siblings Kayla Cook Haley of Gadsden, AL., Kenneth Smith of Gadsden, AL., and Walter (Cynthia) Smith of Gadsden, AL.; aunts Louise Golson, Deborah Adams, Ekra Tolbert, Jackie Penny, Millie Mostella and Dolly Thomas; niece Morgan Childs and nephews Terrell Malone and Britton Childs V; special friends Sherrell Timmons, Randy Powel, Ron Darcy and a special cousin Kevin Calhoun; along with a host of other relatives, family and friends.
Public Visitation will be held from 12pm-6pm on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at West Gadsden Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at United Christian Church.

It never crossed my mind about you passing, I took it for granted that you of all people would live a long time, when I was told that you had passed, it hit me hard. As a minister I know that life is short but still, I remember all the time growing up on avenue A , and going to middle school and high school and playing football with you. I guess the Lord needed you to do something special for him, i will miss you. Show those angels how detailing is really done. Rev. Darryl L . Ledford. Sr R.I.P my friend.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of the Big 400. I have known SK for over 20 years and he was one of the best friends I have ever had. I will miss that big smile and him hollering at me and waving going down the road. Not a lazy bone in his body he would walk from his apartment in Rainbow City to Woods clean up in downtown Gadsden everyday. Rest Easy Big Man
