Xzavier Knox Obituary
Born on May 17, 2003, in Odessa, Texas to Kourtnee Rushin and Lyndell Knox. Xzavier was a proud K-12 graduate of Big Spring ISD-a true Big Spring Steer through and through. He was reluctant to wear his siblings' red and white colors of Coahoma.
He furthered his education at Howard College, majoring in applied science. After earning his Associate Degree in Nursing (RN), he began his career at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. He loved his chosen path and was planning to advance his education by pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). He had been accepted to Texas Tech University and was set to soon begin his classes there.
Xzavier was an incredible young man with an inescapably positive attitude. All who knew him will miss his laid-back, quiet, calming, fun-loving nature. Xzavier was also strong in his beliefs and walked with God from a very young age. He had his Bible next to his Playstation and would read it before ever picking up his controller. He attended Cornerstone Covenant Church for many years and then began attending Life Church with his parents. Xzavier knew God's love and easily shared his faith with others.
He is survived by his parents, Kerry and Kourtnee Stanger; sisters Reagan, Alexis, Shayne, and Tessa; brothers Jordan, Andre, and Weston; as well as a countless number of dear friends and extended family members whom he would have wanted listed.
Xzavier touched many lives in a very short time. He had a profound grasp of what life is all about, and he seemed to have figured it out so early.
He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Pallbearers will be Ivan Duenez, Owen Trevino, Jabez Jones, Isaiah Rodriguez, Sam Sotelo, Kasean Rushin.
