Obituary of Yasmine Joyce Khan

Yasmine Joyce Khan, a loving daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on August 17, 2025, at the age of 55 from early-onset Alzheimer's. She found her true partner in life in Mark Laylin and was the much-loved daughter of Faiz Mohammad Khan and Kathleen Joyce Khan (Boer). Yasmine was preceded in death by her sister, Sarah, and is survived by her sister, Rachel. She was a loving sister whose care, wisdom, and support will forever be felt. She also held a special place in her heart for Mark's children, Sydney and Luke Laylin.

Yasmine and Mark shared an extraordinary love - a perfect match who brought out the best in each other. Theirs was the truest reflection of love, shown in both big and small ways, and in the quiet devotion with which they cared for one another every day.

She dedicated her career to fitness and wellness, most notably as a passionate and highly accomplished Pilates instructor. A bright light to countless clients and friends, she inspired others with her poise, her mastery of Pilates, and the distinguished certifications she achieved throughout her career.

Beyond her technical expertise, she was a gifted teacher and mentor, guiding others with patience, precision, and genuine care. She was deeply admired by her peers for her knowledge and dedication, and she was equally loved for the joy she brought to her classes - including the best music playlists, each curated with meticulous care - not just as background noise, but as a reflection of her spirit and thoughtfulness.

Yasmine radiated warmth in the way she connected with others. She had a natural gift for making people feel valued - remembering birthdays, checking in just when you needed it, and offering words of encouragement that felt perfectly timed. Her friendships were deep and genuine, built on laughter, loyalty, and shared adventures. Whether planning a spontaneous road trip or simply showing up with your favorite coffee, she had a way of turning everyday gestures into lasting memories. Her spirit was generous, her heart was big, and her love unmistakably felt in the little things she never overlooked.

She will be deeply missed, and her memory will live on through the love and light she shared. Those who knew Yasmine will carry her spirit with them always, in both the big and small moments of life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Humane Society, or Pet Haven, two organizations that reflect Yasmine's love of animals.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 12pm to 3pm at Birch's on the Lake, 1310 Wayzata Blvd, Long Lake, MN 55356.
