Yolanda Carrisalez Obituary
Yolanda Carrisalez “Mayo”, 76, of Gregory, Texas, passed away April 27, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents Cecilio Miguel and Socorro Camacho Arevalo; sister Olga Arevalo and brother Miquel Arevalo.
She is survived by her daughters Sylvia (Fidel) Pena, Melissa (Arnulfo) Ortiz, and Celia (Raymond) Lopez; along with grandchildren Crystal Marie Cortinas, Tiffany (Rey) Zapata, Miquel Cortinas, Briana (Andrew) Ortiz, Christian Ortiz, Christopher (Linda) Lopez, Sabrina (Eric) Nguyen, Alexis Lopez; Great-grandchildren Eliza, Kateryna, Aundrina, Khilyssa, Zoey, Xavier, Isaiah, Aria, Phoenix, and Allen. Also her great-great grandchild Olivia Grace Obaya.
Yolanda had a deep love for her faith and spent much of her life devoted to sharing the word of God. She found great joy in attending church and preaching about the Bible. Yolanda’s kindness, strong spirit, and unwavering faith touched the lives of everyone. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she brightened.
Pallbearers will be Arnulfo Ortiz ,CJ Ortiz, Christopher Lopez, Rey Zapata, Fidel Pena, and Mike Cortinas
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2025 at Winsteads’ Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025 also at Winsteads’ Funeral Home with interment to follow at Gregory Cemetery.
