With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Yolanda Flores Lopez, “Yolie” on February 26, 2025

Yolanda was born on January 22, 1945, in Juarez, Mexico, to the late Encarnacion Fernandez and Maclovia Flores. She was the youngest of two children. Yolanda moved to the United States in 1964 after she had married her first husband, and had her three children Jaime, Lynda, and Angelica. Yolanda was always a hard worker. She worked retail here in the US and supported her three children while maintaining their home in El Paso, TX. Yolanda married her late husband Martin Lopez in 2001. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynda Fulkerson in 2005. Yolanda adopted Lynda’s four young children and became a full-time mom once again. Yolanda was an active and involved mother and grandmother. She cared and deeply loved all of those around her. She deeply enjoyed spending time with her family watching movie marathons and eating her beloved Whataburger Green Chili doubles. Yolanda was the pillar and matriarch of the family and her strength and resilience will not ever be forgotten.

Yolanda’s memory and legacy lives on in her son, Jaime Sandoval and daughter Angie Sandoval, and her adopted children, Joseph Fulkerson, Craig Fulkerson, Tamera Fulkerson and Savannah Fulkerson. As well as her four other grandchildren: Nicole Mackey, Jacob Sandoval, Julian Gomez and Sophie Gomez, and her 9 great-grandchildren. We love you and miss you forever Grandma Yolie.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM with a Scripture Service at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina Dr.
