Yong Trace Obituary

Yong Ok Trace, 75, of Leesburg, GA died on April 23, 2022. Memorial Service will be held on April 30, 2022 at 7 pm at the First Korean Baptist Church located in Leesburg, Georgia.

Yong was born in Chonpuk-do, South Korea, on May 5, 1946, to her father, Yi Un Sul, and mother, Chong Chang Sun. She was married to Rodney Trace at Mount Morris on June 8, 1979. She moved to Albany with her family in 1996.

She was a beautiful person inside and out who kept the Trace family together as a great spouse, mother, grandmother, and friend. Yong made everyone smile with her glowing contagious smiles and excellent cooking and delicious baking. Everyone always asked about her famous eggrolls, pound cakes, and Italian cookies made from scratch. Yong always put her family first and had a love for animals caring for strays and adopting several cats giving them a home. Her presence will be tremendously missed by her family and anyone who ever met her. Her passion for life made the most challenging moments seem the easiest with her calming and loving presence.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney Trace, her sons, John (Casie) Trace and James Trace, and granddaughter Ashtyn.
