Yvette A. (Cormier) Kyle, 93, of Marlborough, died Monday, April 10, 2006 in Worcester, MA.

Born in Marlborough, she was the oldest child of the late Archille and Donalda (Sasseville) Cormier. Her loving husband, Ralph S. Kyle, died in May of 1982.

A graduate of St. Anne’s Academy, Marlborough, she was the Director of Public Welfare in Marlborough from 1964 until her retirement in 1977.

Mrs. Kyle was recognized in 2002 as Marlborough’s Senior of the Year for her many years of service to the community, including the distribution of food to those in need, the gifts for the Rotary Club and the Enterprise-Sun Santa Fund, and her service on the Mayor’s Executive Committee on Housing.

She was also a Charter Member of the Assabet Valley Regional and the South Middlesex Opportunity Councils and a member of the Marlborough-Westborough Mental Health Association. She also served on the Board of Director’s of the Marlborough Chapter of the Salvation Army and the Marlborough Council on Aging.

She was a member of the former St. Mary’s Parish and Our Lady of the Assumption Guild.

Mrs. Kyle will always be remembered for her caring and kindness. She was known as “Bama” to many and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughter; Sandra L Demoga and her husband Paul, of Worcester, MA, her son; Richard B. Kyle and his wife, Diane, of Pembroke, MA, her sisters; Regina Cahill, Claire Bowen, and Patricia Correia and her husband T. Joseph Correia, all of Marlborough, 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren many nieces, nephews, grand- nieces and grand-nephews. She was also the mother of the late Ronald S. Kyle, Marilyn A. Moore,and Janice M. Hopfmann, and the grandmother of the late Joseph McCulley.

Funeral Liturgy of the Word will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect St., Marlborough, MA Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Beach St., Marlborough, MA.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 from 5-8 p.m. in the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St. Marlborough, MA.
