Yvonne was born on October 24, 1937, in Breaux Bridge. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Being the eldest of 6 children, she grew up as a hard worker, helping her parents with her siblings and in the house. She married the love of her life, Lester "Bucky" Breaux, and gave birth to four children. She spent the early years of her career being a hairdresser. Later, she and her husband operated Breaux's Restaurant. Aunt T, as her many nieces and nephews called her, enjoyed drinking a cup of coffee on "Mother's Porch" and loved football! She could often be seen cheering on her favorite teams - especially the New Orleans Saints. Her passion for the sport was infectious, and she loved discussing the latest games and scores with anyone who would listen.
However, Yvonne's greatest joy in life was found in spending time with her cherished grandchildren, who lovingly called her Mimi. She doted on them endlessly, creating cherished memories that will be treasured by her family for generations to come.
She is survived by her daughters, Abby Beadle, Lisa (Darrell) Richard, and Dana (Darrell) Poirier; sisters, Carey Willingham and Tina (Wayne) Begnaud; brother, Ray (Pat) Thibodeaux; grandchildren, Brandy (Dustin) Gibson, Danielle (Chance) Angelle, Billy Joe Williams, Bobby Joe Williams, Dustin (Jolie) Poirier, Phillip (Jeanne) Poirier, Brooke Richard, Brian (Shawna) Richard, Cody (Kerry) Richard, Jeanne (Nathan) Gibbs, Blake (Tiffiany) Richard, and Hollye (Mark) Courville; and 29 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lester "Bucky" Breaux; son, Dudley Breaux; parents, Evans and Hilda Tauzin Thibodeaux; sisters, Judy Breaux and Jeanette Hebert; brothers-in-law, James Hebert and Don Willingham.
The family would like to extend a big 'Thank You' to the staff of Landmark of Acadiana Nursing home for their dedication to taking such great care of Mimi.
Pallbearers will be Brooke Richard, Brian Richard, Cody Richard, Blake Richard, Bobby Williams and Logan Angelle.
Honorary pallbearer will be Billy Joe Williams.
