Yvonne Fortenberry Briscoe

Yvonne Fortenberry Briscoe entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the age of 69. Yvonne was baptized in 2005 as a Jehovah's Witness. She was the beloved wife of Claude Briscoe and the loving mother of John Jarrow, Monique Moore and the belated Joshua Fortenberry. She enjoyed spending time with and loving on her grandkids for whom she adored. She was the grandmother of Imani Lee, Deja Lee, Ava Moore, Grayce Moore, Javon Jarrow, Aaron LeBlanc, and Janiya Jarrow. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Arny Mae Fortenberry and belated brother Sonny Fortenberry. She leaves behind five siblings Alma Lebeau, Almena Charles, Joan Williams, Lillie Fortenberry, Brenda Joseph and James Fortenberry and a host of other relatives. She was a 1974 graduate of Walter L. Cohen High School and a former bus driver for The New Orleans Transit Authority. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Visitation from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, following service at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at D.W.
