Yvonne B Hughes

Yvonne B. Hughes, age 85, of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away on March 8, 2025 at Stonebridge Senior Living. She was born on April 3, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan; a daughter of Thomas and Dora (Boyett) Barnett.
Yvonne was a 1956 graduate of Eldorado, Illinois High School. She worked in the Biology Department at the University of Alabama-Huntsville for more than 25 years. She married Frank Willis and fell in love with traveling when they spent time traveling throughout Europe during his military service. She loved to travel anywhere but was especially fond of New Orleans. Yvonne was considered an excellent cook and gardener. She loved flowers and animals, especially dogs.
Yvonne is survived by two daughters Melanie Coats (Rusty) and Stephanie Pike; her ex-husband but good friend Frank Willis; grandchildren Jacob Uchtmann (Laura), Kyle Uchtmann (Kylie), Laura Uchtmann (Kyle), Andrew Turner, Heather Clemons, Cody Pike; great-grandchildren Kaylyn, Kenley, Kaden, Harper, Ella, Owen, Hayleigh, Logan, Damien, Demetri, and Kendrick. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Cassandra Morrison.

Friends will be received from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Home Osage Beach.
In addition, friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Watson Funeral Home, Eldorado, Illinois. A Memorial Services will follow at 1:00 p.m at Watson Funeral Home, 1517 Locus St, Eldorado, IL.
