Yvonne "Bonnie" Lucille Johnson, 88, of New Madison, passed away October 22, 2024 at her home.
Yvonne was born on October 14, 1936, in Morgan Township, PA, to the late Thomas and Christina Robinson. Yvonne is also preceded in death by her life long companion, Fred Fenton, and her siblings Audrey Hammond, Norma Jean Robinson, Tom Robinson, Sarah Robinson, Joann Thomas, John Robinson, and Eugene Robinson.
Yvonne is survived by her beloved dog, Anthony; children, Brenda (Jim) Pierson, of Franklin, OH, John (Donna) Johnson, of Germantown, Terri Johnson, of Union City, OH, Cynthia Johnson, of Greenville, and Deanna Johnson, of New Madison; step-children, Frank (Cindy) Fenton, of Clayton, Wesley (Sharon) Fenton, of Palestine, Tim (Annette) Wilson, of Spartanburg, IN, and Sherry (Dave) Wullenweber, of Indiana; grandchildren, Cody Musick, John (Angela) Johnson Jr., Christina (Glen) Bowman, Sabrina (Jacob) Houdeshell, James (Tanna) Cornett, Jackie (Ben) Hawes, and Jesse Brents; multiple great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Yvonne graduated from Wheelersburg High School. She worked in the restaurant industry and factories, most notably Gayston's in Dayton, OH. She was a Life Member of the Greenville Eagles post 2177. Yvonne had a passion for the outdoors, she could tell you every kind of plant and flower. She found the beauty in nature and took the time to explore it every chance she got. Yvonne and Fred did so by traveling a lot when they were able to. She enjoyed raising doves and also raised and bred chihuahua dogs. Yvonne loved to craft but especially loved to gift her crafts to her family and friends. Family meant the world to Yvonne. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her memory will continue to bring joy and comfort to those who loved her.
A visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Tribute Funeral Homes, New Madison.
A funeral service will follow the visitation on Monday at the funeral home at 2:00 PM.
