H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home - BataviaRochester - Joe Kenneth "Kenny" Johnson, 74 of Rochester passed away on Monday (March 16, 2026) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Joe was born October 27, 1951 in Batavia a son of the late Sylvester Johnson, Sr. and Mary Russell.
He was a member of Bethel Full Gospel Church in Rochester and gifted guitarist. Joe enjoyed fishing, collecting baseball cards and antiques, and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was a 35+ year employee of Staples where he operated a fork lift.
Surviving are his sisters, Elaine Ingram and Annette Riley both of Rochester; nieces and nephews, Mandy Johnson, Dawnielle Ingram, Mary (Jason) Geter, and David Riley, Jr.; great-nieces and nephews, Tamia, Ahmein, Zion, Mason, Dariel, Jr., Delicia, Tykiera, and Trevon; sister-in-law, Patricia Johnson.
Joe is preceded in death by his brothers, Sylvester Johnson, Jr., James Johnson, David Riley, Sr., and Charles Riley; and a niece, Stacy Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday (March 28, 2026) at Cornerstone Church, 8020 Bank Street Road in Batavia from 1 to 2:00 p.m., where Joe's funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. Private burial will take place in Grand View Cemetery in Batavia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested the the Cornerstone Church Food Pantry.
