Yvonne M. Laycock, a woman of unwavering faith and a generous heart, was born on September 5, 1943, in Philadelphia, PA. She passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025, in Langhorne, PA, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and treasured memories.
Yvonne graduated from Bensalem High School in 1961, where she excelled in softball, field hockey, and basketball. It was during these formative years that she met the love of her life, Art Laycock. They married in 1964 and began their family shortly thereafter.
For several years, Yvonne faithfully served in the cafeteria at Lower Bucks Christian Academy, where her warmth and genuine care left a lasting impact on countless students. As a devout Christian and a member of Trinity Bible Church in Bristol, PA, she dedicated 35 years of service as the church's financial secretary, a testament to her unwavering commitment.
Yvonne enjoyed spending time at the family’s cabin in Sweet Valley, PA, where she gathered with extended family and friends. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and appreciating the abundant wildlife of rural upstate Pennsylvania. She was also a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, rarely missing a game. These passions, combined with her love for family and friends, created bonds that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.
Yvonne was predeceased by her dear husband, Art Laycock, whom she deeply missed, and her beloved daughters, Helen and Mary.
Yvonne is survived by her loving daughter, Carrie (Jim) Talone and adoring granddaughters, Abigail and Keira Talone, who were her greatest joy.
Although she is no longer with us, Yvonne's spirit lives on through her family and friends, who will always remember her as a beacon of love, warmth, and joy. She touched countless lives with her gentle spirit, and her legacy will continue to uplift and inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
