Services for Yvoughnda Miller, 89, of Chapel Hill will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Dodson and Rev. Warren Ethridge officiating. Interment will follow at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Miller entered heaven's gates on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
She was born June 15, 1936, in Lamar, Colorado to Elmer and Nancy Johnson.
Yvoughnda was a member of The Woods Baptist Church in Tyler. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing dominoes, tending to her flowers, cooking, serving in her church, and her eight grandchildren, two great-grandsons, with a third on the way.
Yvoughnda was preceded to heaven by her parents Elmer and Nancy Johnson, her siblings Floyd Johnson, Louis Johnson, Ladell Barker and Mozelle Mickey.
She was married for 71 years to Gene Miller, who is a United States Air Force Veteran. They had three boys, Darell Miller and his wife Shaye, Kevin Miller and Kent Miller and his wife Michelle. Her grandchildren are Shelby King (Ben), Koen Miller, Sage Miller, Rilee Prestwood (Nick), Tate Miller (Haley), Brynn Miller, Trent Miller, and Noelle Regan (Charlie), and great-grandchildren Barrett King, Graham King, and baby Rhett Miller, who is on the way.
Pallbearers will be Darell Miller, Kevin Miller, Kent Miller, Tate Miller, Trent Miller, Ben King, Koen Miller, and Nick Prestwood.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the excellent care provided by the staff at Reunion Plaza and Heart to Heart Hospice.
Visitation is scheduled from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy, Tyler.
