Zachary J. Miller

Staff Sgt. Zachary James Miller, 26, of Vandergrift, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in his residence. Born Sept. 10, 1998, in Natrona Heights. Zach was currently serving in the US Army and had served in Syria and had been working as a recruiter serving the Butler area. A member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in East Vandergrift. He had a degree from Triangle Tech in welding and enjoyed computers, working on military drones, and anything with technolgy. Survivors include his parents, Kevin (Jodi Zidek) Miller of Vandergrift; two sisters, Jenna Bruhn of North Dakota and Laci (Junaid) Miller Tariq of Birmingham, UK; paternal grandparents, James (Dorothy) Miller of Apollo; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fred "Gunner" and Abby Zidek; two nephews, Adam and Zane Tariq. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 31, 2025, in the DUNMIRE-KERR AND ROWE FUNERAL HOME INC., 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2025, in the Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, East Vandergrift, with Fr. Vincent Zidek as celebrant.
