Mr. Zachary D. "Chef Zach" Mitchell

Zachary Demon "Chef Zach" Mitchell was born on February 27, 1972 to Robert Earl Robinson and Christine Mitchell in Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, guardian/maternal grandmother, Annie Margaret Body and paternal grandmother, Katie Robinson.

Zach as he was affectionately known grew up in Canton, Mississippi under the guardianship of his maternal grandmother nnieMargaret Body. He attended the Canton Public High School. He later relocated to Kansas City, Missouri during his senior under the guardianship of his uncle, Reverend Edward Lewis. Zach attended and was a graduate of Paseo High School.

Zach accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Canton, Mississippi. He attended Sunday and sang in the Choir. Upon his return to Kansas City he reaffirmed his faith in the Lord. He established his career as an entrepreneur and Chef. He was very successful in his business.

On Sunday, January 25, 2026 the Kitchen closed. Zach finished his earthly course. God gently reached down and he peacefully transitioned into the eternal presence of the Lord embraced by his Grace and Glory.

Zach's life and memories will be cherished by his son, Zachary D. Mitchell, Jr.;daughter, Shantrece Bedell; his siblings, Fershurn Stanford, Kevin Standford (Latita), Kimberly Preacher (Jim) and Morrissa Goldman (Jerome); grandchildren, Charles Hall, Harold Ford and Zahyra Rodgers, a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins other relatives and friends.
