Zaelyn Deontae Braxton

Zaelyn also know as Zae Pooh, Spite, Man-man, and Zae, was called home Monday, February 12, 2024 at the sweet age of 16 in his hometown of Gulfport, MS.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Archie Moore; his great grandmothers, Izella Trotter and Hattie Mae Braxton; his great grandfather, Percy Ross; and his cousin King Gatewood.
Zaelyn was the cherished son of Chiquita McClellan; Stepson of Bobby McGowan; son of Verneric Braxton; grandson of Patricia McClellan (Eric) and Vershanda Luster (Larvin); brother of Ivyunna Harvey, Tiahna, Kylee, Kyndal, Bryson, and Jeremiah Braxton; nephew of Ebonie Spann, Shambra Braxton, Zabein Braxton, Raekwon McClellan, Damonica Thomas, Laraasha Luster, and Demetria White; cousin of Omare’ Ben, Elijah Spann, DeKailah Braxton, Tymani Braxton, Shailah Green, Malasia Thomas, Makalah, Matdalyn Thomas, Zaniyia Braxton, Makynli Roberts, Matthew Thomas, Jr., and Madasyn Thomas.
He last attended Central Middle School and was soon to start his new journey at Montgomery Job Corp where he would receive his GED, drivers license, and trade in construction and become an electrician. He had so many plans for his life and had made tremendous changes to do so. He started his own clothing line brand called “Lost Soul” at the age of 15.
Zaelyn, you will be missed! He also leaves behind a host of family friends who will miss him tremendously.
A visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 AM, Friday, February 23, 2024, at Isiah Fredericks Community Center, 3312 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Gulfport. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, with interment to follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport. Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, is serving the family.
