Zakia Towler Obituary
Zakia graduated from Park View High School in South Hill, Virginia in 1991. After graduation, she attended Southside Virginia Community College and earned an Associate's Degree in Human Services in 1993. Zakia was a lifelong learner and passionate about helping others. Before her passing, she earned multiple certitications through Reynolds Community College and Southside Virginia Community College. These certifications include Certified Nurse Aide, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, and Retail Management.
Zakia enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her beloved pets. Zakia leaves behind her loving daughter, Asia Tucker and son-in-law Kevin Tucker Jr.. She was also blessed with a granddaughter, Phoenix Tucker, who brought much joy into her life. Zakia was the eldest daughter out of 3 siblings. She leaves behind 2 brothers, Chiffon Towler and Shamar Pittman, and 1 sister, Niyaah Pittman, aunt Patricia Champion, and cousins Ahmad Muhammad and Miracle Muhammad.
Although Zakia's time on this earth was too short, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be dearly missed. Rest in peace, mommy.

Bless you and your family. I never got to meet you but knew through Hani Hazza Alomari. I will always remember your beautiful name Zakia Simone. I would love to talk to your family. Bless your children. My grandma was from South Hill. Rest in peace.
