Zeda Lavinder Obituary

Zeda was born in Lockbridge, West Virginia on December 26, 1934, the daughter of Clarence and Delpha (McGraw) Hayes. She married Donald R. Lavinder on December 15, 1956, in Newport News, Virginia. Donald was an Air Force Sergeant and he and Zeda traveled many miles in their life's journey together. Zeda worked at F.O.H. for 16 years. After retirement, Zeda and Don moved to Florida and were there for 23 years when Don passed away in 2006.
Zeda is survived by her daughter, Jeana Carrier of Massachusetts; sister, Rita (Chuck) Thomas of Otisville; grandson, Michael Nixon of Flushing; granddaughter, Jennifer (Ryan) Osborne of Clio; great-grandchildren, Michaela Nixon, Shelby (Maddy) Jeffers, Mikey Nixon, and Brennen Osborne. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Calvin Hayes; daughter, Cheryl Nixon; son, Donald P. Lavinder; sons-in-law, David Carrier, and Ed Nixon.
