Anderson Bartlett Obituary

Anderson Gordon Bartlett III, 84, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025. Andy was born February 7, 1940 in Wisconsin to A.G. and Areta Bartlett and was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Dartmouth College and received his law degree and an MBA from Harvard Business and Law School.

Andy was first employed by Reading & Bates in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This opportunity took him to Southeast Asia and evolved into a long and varied international business career. Upon returning to the "States" and settling in St. Helena, California, Andy enjoyed a legal business practice until his retirement.

As a resident of St. Helena Andy was a member of the Rotary Club with special focus on the International Student exchange program. He was a youth soccer coach and supporter of local arts and the St. Helena Public Schools.

Andy is survived by his children Bart (Sarah) Bartlett, Bria (Mark) Simpson, Kelly (Shaun) Quinn and Andrew (Yana) Bartlett and siblings Areta McKenzie, Joe Bartlett and Jeanie Hill and 12 grandchildren. He is also survived by his wife Roz.

One of Andy's favorite past times...a meal with good friends, fine wine and vivacious conversation!

So wish I´d known earlier. Had tried to reach out, but had lost touch with him. Comforted picturing him now with my brother revisiting their Dartmouth, Harvard. Indonesia endeavors and escapades. RIP as much you and my brother both went. .

I was so sad to hear of Andy´s death. I got to know Andy well through my very close friend Roz (his wife) and despite georgraphic distance for some of our lives we shared a lot of fun times and great friendship. Remembered with love, and my condolences to Roz and the big Bartlett family.

Just read that Andy passed in early January. He was a good friend and classmate at Edison High in Tulsa. My best to Roz and family. I last saw him at lunch in St Helena in 2009, meaning to visit this year, but we shall meet again I hope in the great beyond. By the way, he was a master of the piano.

Extending my deepest sympathy to the entire Bartlett family. Have known Andy and his sister, Areta, since we were children at Union Grade School, Waukesha.
Remember the exciting arrival of younger brother Joe and sister Jeanne.
Could spend hours recalling wonderful memories, adventures, and times together in both Waukesha and Tulsa.
To all... my love and gratitude for having you in my life. Anne Gavigan Owens
