Betsy Horn Obituary

Betsy Horn passed away peacefully on June 22, 2024, following a several month health battle. Born on July 9, 1952, in Novato, California, Betsy was known for her bright colored outfits, hats, love for shopping and giving nature.

Betsy spent her early life in Marin County with her parents and extended family. Betsy had an extremely close bond with her mother Corinne Draper and after graduating from San Marin High School she worked in education supporting special education departments in Marin schools until her retirement. She met and then married her loving husband Danny Ray Horn in 1982 and they moved to American Canyon in 1994, where they settled into a close knit neighborhood community until their passings.

Following Danny's death in 2020, Betsy became more involved with the Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.), a non-profit where women motivate, educate and celebrate women and found lasting friendships. In recent years, she began traveling with her P.E.O. sisters, enjoyed entertaining in her garden and adored her cats.

Betsy leaves behind her stepdaughter Amanda Horn, daughter-in-law Denise Horn and grandchildren Greta Horn (28), Jared Horn (25) and Devon Biddle (17) in addition to her loving aunt and uncle Barbara and Ron Coletti and a number of cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Sunrise Ranch Winery in American Canyon on Friday, August 2, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Providence Hospice of Napa Valley (https://give.providence.org/napavalley) and/or American Canyon Community Cats (americancanyoncommunitycats.org) in Betsy's honor.

Rest in peace, dear Betsy. Your spirit will forever bloom in our memories.

Betsy and Dan were my neighbors when I lived in American Canyon. She was always smiling. I enjoyed being their neighbor. Both of them were amazing people. So sad to hear of her passing

I will never forget my dear friend Betsy. I have known her when I was a little girl. Betsy and Dan always came to our family events and parties. I know you´re at peace now with your parents and Dan.
You will be missed.
