Dr. Charles took care of my teeth from the time I was old enough to have them, way back when the office was on the waterfront. To this day, his sons Steven and Alan still take care of my teeth. Compassionate and caring, all,of them.

I was Dr Pickett´s dental technician at Mare Island. He had a razor-sharp wit and was very kind. I never knew a better officer or man during my four-year enlistment. The world is a poorer place with our loss of this fine man.

Dr. Charles Pickett was one of the greatest men I have known. I started going to him when I was 18 years old. I actually enjoyed going to the dentist. He was so, so kind and so funny. I truly adored him and after he retired I started going to his son David Pickett and now I go to his other son Alan Pickett. A very nice family and very good dentists. I will miss Charles always. He holds a special place in my heart.

I met Charles when I was 11 years old, in the late 1960's. It didn't take long for him to be my hero. Let's just say something happened and he was an adult who stuck up for this shy kid with bad teeth. Later, our lives crossed paths again and I became a part of the family. I had never known a family like the Pickett's. They showed genuine affection and kindness to each other. The "family" meant everything, everyday, no matter what. I will always consider them my "family". I will cherish them all forever and am grateful for the love we have shared.

I first met Charles from his son Dave & daughter-in-law Renee when I was young when Dave & Renee was my neighbor. Charles was always positive & had a smile on his face, he shared his friendship with me growing up & always supported his family for good & bad times. I'll miss Charles & his smile. Now Charles will be remembered by his friendship & love to everyone he knew & Charles's grandson Joe has a son named Charles (little Charlie) & now Joe will explain to Charlie that he gets older & got his name off of his Great-Grandfather Charles E. Pickett, greatest guy in the world. Thanks for the memories Charles, I'll never forget you & your smile & friendship.

I remember Dr. Pickett being very involved in my scout troop 24. He would lead by example and was always prepared. When I was 14 I was hiking with Charlie and some other scouts in the high Sierra on some exposed granite. A dangerous thunderstorm arrived and he helped us get off the mountain to safety. He was a great example to me and his 5 sons. The way he treated his wife and children always impressed me. He loved the outdoors and did a lot of service at the Church girls camps. I miss not seeing him when I visit Napa. My sincere condolences to the family.

My heartfelt condolences to the Pickett Family. I not only went to him as a dentist from when I was 18 until he retired but I also handled several Real estate transactions for him. He was one of the sweetest, kindest man I have ever known as a patient and also as a client. I missed him when he retired but David would let me know of his travels and his enjoyment of his family. Sincerely, Mary Jeffcoat

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. We remember him driving around Browns Valley in his special old car. He passed on his love of dentistry to three of his sons who carried on the practice to his high standards of care. Which we are sure made him proud.
