Donna Taylor Obituary

Donna Jean Taylor, 80, of Napa California, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with dementia.

Born on April 27, 1945, in Berkeley, California, Donna was the beloved daughter of Albert James Kuhn and Jean Alberta Smith. Donna graduated from El Cerrito High School in 1963. She later married the love of her life, Charles "Chuck" Taylor, with whom she shared 56 wonderful years. Together, they moved to the Napa Valley to raise their children, Jeanine Marie and Bryan Charles Taylor, in a home filled with love, laughter, and community spirit. For those who knew Donna she considered you family.

Donna dedicated 25 years to a career in early childhood development, touching countless lives through her work and care. Beyond her career, she was deeply involved in the Napa community. She actively supported Napa Little League and Napa Youth Football, even serving as the coach for the Napa Youth Football cheerleading squad. Her passion for sports carried into her own life as well-she played in an adult soccer league and was an enthusiastic fan of the San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Giants.

A lifelong Disney fan, Donna's love of the magic began with her very first trip to Disneyland during its opening year in 1955. Disney continued to hold a special place in her heart throughout her life, from her honeymoon spent at the park to celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary there. Donna could always be found chatting with someone and could strike a conversation with anyone. Even knowing someone's full life story by the end of disney attraction line. She also cherished Hollywood and the silver screen, often enjoying movie outings and following her favorite stars.

Donna loved the joy of simple pleasures-shopping trips with her friends and family to Union Square, especially during the holiday season, and celebrating family traditions. Halloween was special to her as she loved watching generations of children visit her loving home in Browns Valley for Trick or Treating. Christmas brought her the greatest joy, especially when she prepared thoughtful gifts and carried on her family's beloved almond roca and ice cream cake recipe's.

She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and friend, whose kindness, spirit, and passion for life left a lasting imprint on those fortunate to know her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donna's memory to the American Cancer Society or the Dementia Society of America. Donna Jean Taylor
