John Pagendarm Obituary
John Robert Pagendarm, fondly known as Jack, passed away at the age of 81 on August 12, 2025, in Saint Helena, California.
Born in Berkeley, California, on August 4, 1944, to Marjorie and John Pagendarm, Jack earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of San Francisco and proudly served in the United States Air Force. He began his career as a chemical plant manager before becoming an entrepreneur, successfully running his own business.
Jack was a proud Napa Valley grape grower who also enjoyed making small batches of "garage wine" for his personal enjoyment and to share with family and friends. He loved cooking and was well known for his famous biscotti recipe. An avid gardener, he grew multiple varietals of olive trees, producing exquisite olive oil, and his annual claim to fame was cultivating the biggest pumpkin he possibly could, always striving to surpass the year before. Jack also enjoyed woodworking and had a deep love of travel, always eager to explore and experience new places.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; his son, Nick, and daughter-in-law, Kelly; grandson, Deacon; and many family and friends.
The funeral service will be held October 29 at 11:00 AM at St. Apollinaris Catholic Church, 3700 Lassen Street, Napa, California, with a short reception to follow. John Robert Pagendarm
