Jordan Cohen
1942 - 2022
Jordan Cohen was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He passed away on June 26, 2022 at the age of 79 in Napa, CA where he resided with his beloved wife, Jana.
Jordan received his Bachelor's, Master's and PhD from the University of Wisconsin, and his career in pharmacy and research took him across the country numerous times, from Southern California to Virginia, back to California, Kentucky and Iowa. Jordan was an inspirational leader and his greatest success was the impact he had on all of those around him, as an advisor and mentor.
Jordan met his partner and best friend, Jana, at USC School of Pharmacy in 1969, and they had a beautiful 50 years together. Jordan's pride and joy was their two children: Justin and Jamie.
Jordan loved gatherings with close friends, filled with laughter and a glass of cabernet in hand. He will be missed by many and carried in the hearts of his loved ones.

Jana,
I just heard about Jordan's passing and am so sorry. I cannot imagine the loss you must feel. Jordan was always lively and enthusiastic--and often quite funny--which made our serious meetings fun.
I had just been thinking about the two of you as I was considering pulling together an "Emeritus Dean PDRG" meeting in Arizona now that I am newly emeritus. May you find peace in the memories of your time together and the love you shared. Sincerely, Pat

Jordan was one of my most favorite people - personal and professional. I just received the news of his death this afternoon. I had sent him an email this morning. Besides citing a story on our mutual least favorite college football coach - it included the following: "I miss our "off and on" communication. " I asked about his health, as well.
I will miss him terribly as a most valued friend and colleague.
