Mitch Pilling
1957 - 2022
Mitch was born in Vallejo in 1957, to Rick and Ilyne Pilling. He grew up in Napa and graduated from Vintage High School in 1975. Shortly after, he joined the Army and served for three years.
He pursued a career at Mare Island Naval Shipyard as a metals inspector and stayed right up to the closing of Mare Island in 1996. Continuing his career at Rolls Royce, he retired at the age of 55.
Mitch loved playing the guitar and was in several bands over the years which cultivated lifelong friendships. He was a kind, generous person with a great sense of humor.
He is survived by his father, Rick Pilling and his sister, Jena Lawrence.
