Ruth Barge Obituary

Ruth E. La Barge was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother (Mema), Great Grandmother and friend. Ruth touched so many lives in her 90 years! She was married 67 years to Harold. K. La Barge, who predeceased her on1-6-2018. Ruth was born in Cedaredge, CO to her parents Harold A. Daniels and Ida L. (Martin) Daniels. She was 1 of 5 siblings.

She got married to Harold and moved to Mt. Home, ID where Harold was stationed while in the USAF. They soon had a baby boy named Steven La Barge. They moved back to Napa (Shipyard Acres) and in a union between them, Harold's parents and his sister they purchased 57 acres in the Carneros area. A daughter, Judy La Barge, was born to them in 1955. Ruth has lived on this small farm for 69 years until she passed away, in her home, from lung cancer.

She graduated from St. Helena High School and was a tireless homemaker, the BEST mom ever, masterful gardener, hairdresser, friend to so may, traveled and camped and racked up 3,729 hours between 1993 and 2010 as a volunteer at Napa Kaiser Permanente!

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Judy La Barge, and her four grandkids Jeff, Jeremy, Kevin and Jody. And two great grandkids. Ruth Elizabeth La Barge
